I’ve been an avid gamer for longer than I can remember, starting out watching my father play text adventures before launching myself into the likes of Kings Quest and Police Quest. From there on out I’ve played tons of games of all genres and would like nothing more than to work on them eventually.
The film academy proved an ideal school for this dream as the high level of detail required for film visuals gives a great head start on the ever growing quality of interactive media. The intense schedule and incredible teacher to student ratio makes for an excellent place to learn all the necessary skills, both artistic and otherwise, from people already successful in the industry.
Besides the things learned at school the Film academy also unlocked a new artistic avenue in me that I’d previously not explored: Photography. Having been taught the theory at school I soon found out I had a decent eye for it and wanted to try more; the results of which can be seen in the pictures category.
Basically I’ve tried my hand at a great deal of things, know how to combine them, and where the strengths and weaknesses of each lie. I’ve enjoyed a great deal of varied education and seen a great deal of varied places making me a quick thinker and problem solver for many different situations. I work well in teams as well as leading them, and I work very well under stress and deadlines. I’ve a keen eye in 2d, 3d and photographic art and the analytical mind required to comprehend the technical aspects of these arts.
